The experience retraces the events of November 26, 1922, when Howard Carter first entered the tomb of Tutankhamun, conveying the same emotions—above all, the sensation of being “truly inside”, surrounded by the objects of the funerary assemblage.
Visitors can listen to info points, read hieroglyphs on the walls, and “collect” individual objects to observe them closely, appreciating their remarkable fidelity to the originals, thanks to the expert supervision of scientific director Pasquale Barile.

Each object has been modelled and placed within the tomb according to Howard Carter’s inventory records and the photographs by Harry Burton.
Advanced 3D modelling software has made it possible to “sculpt and paint” even the smallest objects, with meticulous attention to the details of their materials.
The virtual visit is carried out using a headset and a controller, whose functionality for interacting with the environment is extremely simplified, making it accessible to all visitors aged 8 and above.
